  1. Getting started – how do I create an account?
 
Simply complete and submit the form on the sign-up page. Once you have done this you can log in and set up your account profile – this is information about your business that customers will see when they view your advert. Please note that we will run a security check on all new accounts and you will not be able to display any adverts until this has been completed.

  3. What does AfterWork Deals cost?
 
It is free to advertise your business by displaying an offer on After Work Deals. If you would like priority positioning of your advert on the site you can upgrade to a Featured listing for a small fee, starting at just 60p per day. Featured adverts are also elligible for inclusion in our email newsletter to customers (subject to availability).

  4. I forgot my log in details.
 
Click the Forgotten Password link on the log in page, then follow the on screen instructions. We will then send you a new password by email. You can change this to something more memorable through your account overview page.

  5. How do I set up an advert?
 
Once you have set up an account, log in and click on 'New Advert' in your account overview. Enter your advert details in our easy-to-use form and submit. Please note that we operate a Genuine and Fair policy regarding offers advertised on the site and your advert may be subject to approval by After Work Deals.

  6. When will my advert appear?
 
Your advert will appear on the site during the offer period you specified when you set it up.  You can choose to run your advert every day of your offer period, or only on specific days of the week during your offer period.

  7. Where will my advert appear?
 

Your advert will be positioned in the listings depending on how early you submitted your advert and the number of other businesses using the site on the same day.  The earlier you submit your advert (compared with other advertisers) the higher up in our listings your advert will appear, so it is better to submit your adverts as early as possible. 

   
 
Users will be able to search the listings by offer category and location, and your offer will only appear in  search results where it is relevant to the search.
   
 
Featured listings are presented first in search results.  Advertisers upgrading to a Featured listing will always appear on the first page of results when users search for your category and area, and may appear on the first page in other searches (subject to availability).

  8. I want to change the details of my advert.
 
You can make changes to your advert details right up until the first voucher is issued for that offer.  Simply log in to your account and click View/Edit next to the advert that you want to amend.
   
 
Once the first voucher has been issued for your offer you will no longer be able to make changes to your advert, however you can withdraw your advert by clicking the button at the bottom of the edit screen.

  9. I want to withdraw an advert.
 
You can withdraw an advert at any time. Simply log in to your account and click View/Edit for the advert you want to withdraw, then click 'Withdraw' at the bottom of the edit screen.

  10. What are Upgrade Tokens?
 
Advertisers can purchase Uprade Tokens and use them to upgrade an advert to a Featured listing.  To do this you need one token per advert per day, and tokens start from as little as 60p.

  11. How long are upgrade tokens valid?
 
Tokens you buy from us are valid for up to one year, after which they expire.  Promotional tokens given to you free of charge may be valid for less time.  Please check the expiry dates in your account overview.

  12. What is the difference between a Featured and Standard listing?
 
All Standard listings are free of charge, which means you can benefit from FREE advertising on AfterWorkDeals.com.  Featured listings offer advertisers priority positioning on the site, so customers will see your offer first in search results.  Featured listings are also eligible for inclusion in our customer email newsletter, subject to availability.
   
 
You can upgrade to a Featured listing during the advert set up process by redeeming Upgrade Tokens.  It costs one token per listing per day to upgrade, and tokens start from as little as 60p.

  13. Can I offer more than one deal at a time?
 
Yes, you can list up to 5 offers per day, so you can try out different offers to see which ones your customers prefer.

  14. Please explain your Genuine and Fair policy.
 
We want everyone to be happy with the After Work Deals experience, which means that advertisers win more business, and customers get great deals.  Customers pay 50p to get a voucher for each offer, so they should be treated fairly and get value for money in return.  Here are a few things to consider so that your advert is accepted:
   
 
  • The offer should be worth significantly more than the cost of the voucher

  • The offer should not be available without using a voucher, or some other referral/promotional scheme.  After Work Deals customers should get something more than customers who walk in off the street

  • Any terms and conditions should be easily understood, and not designed to catch customers out by making their voucher invalid for an obscure reason

  • The offer should provide a clear and genune benefit for the customer
   
  Your advert may be subject to approval by After Work Deals, and we may not approve any adverts that we deem unsuitable or inappropriate for any reason.

  15. Am I obliged to fulfil my offer?
 
Yes, so long as the customer has met all the conditions of the offer, which should be reasonable.  After Work Deals is not responsible for the fulfillment of your offers, however if we receive complaints about an advertiser we may investigate the situation and possibly withdraw the advertiser's access to our service.

  16. My offer has some special conditions – what should I do?
 
You can set out any special conditions in the Offer Description when you set up a new advert.  It is common for offers to be subject to special conditions (eg minimum spend, time of day, etc) but please make these clear and reasonable.

  18. What are vouchers?
 
Our vouchers are similar to vouchers or coupons that you might find in everyday situations, except all our vouchers are delivered by text message to a customer's mobile phone and they contain a unique code.

  19. How many vouchers should I offer?
 
You can offer as many vouchers for a deal as are appropriate for your business (within certain limits we set on our system).  Please remember that you are obliged to honour all your vouchers, so please ensure you have enough stock or capacity each day in case all your vouchers are used.

  20. How do I make sure the vouchers are genuine?
 
When you set up a new advert we will email a voucher code list to you.  Valid vouchers will contain a code from this list.  Each code will only appear in one voucher, so you can ensure a voucher is not used more than once by crossing the code off your list.

  21. I can't fulfil my offer because we have run out of capacity or stock, what should I do?
 
Firstly, log in to your account and withdraw the advert.  Do this by clicking View/Edit for the relevant advert, and then clicking 'Withdraw' at the bottom of the edit screen.  Once you do this, no more vouchers will be issued for your offer.
   
 
If vouchers have already been issued, please contact us as soon as possible once you know you will not be able to fulfil your offer.

Your advert may be in the queue for approval.  Once it is approved, an advert is only shown on the days for which the offer is valid.  You can search for your advert by category and location.  If you are still having difficulties please contact us.

  24. I haven't received my voucher list.
 
Please check your spam filter to make sure it hasn't blocked our email.  Also, you should ensure you have entered the correct email address in the Contact Information page of your profile.  You can request a replacement voucher list by clicking Send Reminder in your account overview next to the relevant advert.
